Employment Solicitor (5-7+ PQE) | Employer-Side Practice | Global Client Base
If you're an experienced Employment Solicitor looking to join a practice with an unusually international client base, this is an opportunity to advise major global organisations, financial institutions and multinational businesses while taking on significant client responsibility.

You'll join a growing commercial firm where you can build relationships with sophisticated international clients, gain greater exposure to cross-border matters and develop your profile as a senior employment lawyer.

The Firm
This is a growing full-service commercial law firm with a particularly strong international client base, advising businesses on their UK operations and investments.

The firm has advised more than 600 international and multinational companies, including over 50 Fortune Global 500 organisations. It has particular strength advising businesses headquartered across the Asia-Pacific region, alongside a broader client base of UK and international companies.

Clients range from growing businesses and overseas companies entering the UK market through to major multinational organisations, with the firm advising across sectors including technology, financial services, logistics, travel, real estate development and manufacturing.

Alongside Employment, the wider firm advises across Corporate, Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Immigration and Property, allowing the team to support clients across the broader legal issues arising from their UK operations.

The Role
You will join an established Employment team where around 90% of the work is respondent-focused, advising employers across both contentious and non-contentious matters.

The work includes Employment Tribunal litigation, discrimination and harassment, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancies and restructurings, TUPE, senior exits and settlement agreements.
On the advisory side, you will handle restrictive covenants, employment contracts and policies, industrial relations and wider strategic employment issues.

The team also handles more complex disputes involving interim relief and injunctive proceedings, alongside specialist employment advice for financial services businesses, including matters arising from the SMCR and wider regulatory requirements.

With a significant international client base, there is also exposure to overseas businesses establishing and developing their UK operations and cross-border workforce issues. You will take responsibility for your own matters, work directly with clients and advise HR professionals, management teams and senior stakeholders.

The Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor with approximately 5-7+ years' PQE
• Strong employer-side Employment experience
• Comfortable across contentious and advisory matters
• Experience handling Employment Tribunal litigation ideally
• Able to manage matters and client relationships autonomously
• Commercial, practical approach to employment advice
• Strong academics and technical ability
