Associate / Managing Associate - Construction Disputes

Bristol | City-standard work | Leading salary

What if you could work on the calibre of contentious construction matters you would expect to find in London, without having to work in London?

That is what makes this opportunity particularly interesting.

A leading international law firm is looking to add an Associate / Managing Associate to its highly regarded Construction Disputes team in Bristol.

The team advises clients across the construction and engineering sector on complex, high-value disputes throughout the contractual chain. The work is genuinely high-end, with the team regularly acting on significant matters before the Technology and Construction Court, as well as domestic and international arbitrations, adjudications and mediations.

You will have exposure to the full range of construction disputes, including defects, delay and disruption, payment disputes, professional negligence, terminations, fire safety and high-profile cladding cases.

There is also a strong international element to the work, with the wider practice regularly involved in major and complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

What really sets this opportunity apart, however, is the quality of work available from Bristol.

This isn't a case of moving outside London and accepting a compromise in the calibre of matters you work on. The team handles the sort of complex, high-value construction disputes you would expect to find within leading City practices, alongside highly experienced construction disputes lawyers and specialists.

The remuneration reflects that too.

The salary is at the very top end of the Bristol market, giving you the opportunity to combine City-level work and remuneration with the lifestyle benefits of working outside London.

This could be particularly attractive if you are:
* A London-based construction disputes lawyer considering relocating to Bristol but unwilling to compromise on the quality of work
* A Bristol-based lawyer looking for a genuine step up in the calibre and complexity of your matters
* Someone looking to develop their experience across TCC litigation, arbitration, adjudication and other forms of dispute resolution
* A lawyer who wants exposure to high-profile, technically complex construction disputes with an international dimension

The team is open to lawyers from approximately 2-7 PQE, with the level reflecting your experience.

If you have considered leaving London but worried that doing so would mean stepping away from the quality of work available in the City, this is a genuine opportunity to do exactly that without compromising on your career.
