Managing Associate - Commercial


A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join its highly regarded Commercial team. With a strong presence across the UK and an impressive client base spanning listed companies, public sector organisations, educational institutions and international businesses, the team advises on high-profile, business-critical projects that support growth, innovation and long-term success.

This is an opportunity to join one of the largest and most established commercial teams in the market, working alongside recognised specialists across sectors including advanced manufacturing, energy, life sciences, aerospace and defence, transport and logistics, and international trade. The team combines deep sector expertise with a genuinely collaborative culture and regularly supports clients on complex domestic and cross-border matters.

The Role


The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of commercial contracts and strategic projects, acting for a diverse client base ranging from major corporates through to public sector bodies and growing businesses.
The role will involve:

  • Leading on the drafting, negotiation and management of complex commercial agreements.
  • Advising on procurement, outsourcing, supply chain and product development arrangements.
  • Supporting clients with contract strategy, risk management and wider commercial issues.
  • Delivering practical, commercially focused advice aligned to clients' operational objectives.
  • Working closely with clients' in-house legal and commercial teams as a trusted adviser.


At Managing Associate level, there will be significant responsibility for leading matters, managing client relationships and supervising more junior members of the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of client service whilst contributing to the ongoing development of the wider team.

Business Development & Progression


This role offers genuine opportunities to become involved in business development and strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior colleagues to strengthen existing client relationships, identify new opportunities and contribute to the continued success of the practice.
The team is regularly involved in multi-jurisdictional work and international projects, providing exposure to a broad range of complex commercial matters and high-quality clients.
