There is lots of work in the City that's ready to be outsourced and shared, and plenty of resources to assist lawyers with business development and networking activities.

The role:

Are you a Corporate Commercial Senior Associate 5 years PQE who is looking to lead and grow a new office location in Birmingham?

This firm is keen to hear from business-minded individuals who are happy to work in a stand-alone capacity, at least initially, as they look to expand their Midlands team. However, the existing Corporate Commercial team in London will provide support remotely where needed and there's already a lot of work they want to collaborate on.

You will have a well-rounded skill set in transactional M&A work as well as general commercial matters. With that being said, they are happy to provide a platform to help you pursue any particular areas of expertise or sector focuses.

As an established senior solicitor who is comfortable running your own transactions, you're likely to have management responsibilities in the future and therefore it's important that you're happy to develop junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate:

• Corporate Commercial Solicitor 5 years PQE (there is no upward limit on PQE)
• Outstanding technical knowledge and broad corporate and commercial experience
• Ability to engage in your own business development
