The Role:

  • The Firm are looking for an experienced Construction Solicitor to join as Legal Director in Newcastle, with hybrid working in place
  • As a well-respected department in the Legal 500, the Construction team handle a broad mixture of contentious & non-contentious mandates for commercial developers, local authorities, health operators, contractors & subcontractors
  • To align with this, you will manage a diverse caseload covering both contentious & non-contentious matters, including standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC), construction aspects of property & energy documentation, advising on potential disputes during projects, adjudications & arbitrations, TCC cases and bank-related transactions
  • As a Legal Director, you will also play a leading role in the development of the department, providing support to the junior members of the team & getting involved in further business development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An experienced Construction Solicitor with a minimum of 7 years PQE
  • Clear understanding of relevant legal issues
