The practice has been established for over 15 years and has grown year on year, and have exciting plans to continue to expand. They have a strong management/leadership team who will invest in you fully but ensure you have the autonomy to drive growth in your department.

The firm does a lot of work Internationally: they house many Partners that have come from different communities, giving a lovely international flavour to the work that they do. They also have many different language speakers at the practice including Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Japanese, French, Spanish, Gujarati, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

The practice also has close allegiances with other International firms, making them the first choice for HNW individuals with interests overseas.

The role

The firm are seeking to hire a Head of Employment law for their busy and growing office, based in the City of London.

The employment law department deals with a very broad range of work, across many industry sectors.

You will deal with senior executives, board directors (often at FTSE 250 companies), high net worth individuals and those in high profile positions.

You will deal with both Contentious and Non-Contentious work, including Dismissals, Re-structuring, Contract negotiations, Employment tribunals including high court, Restrictive covenants and Collective issues.

  • You will deal with a broad range of work, and this variety will make for a more interesting caseload
  • The department has recently acted on a number of very high value employment cases
  • You will work closely with the firms other Partners to drive the department forwards
  • You will have a large amount of autonomy, but equally will be well supported
  • This role offers very good prospects and would be a good opportunity for someone seeking career progression

Requirements

  • You will be an Employment Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You will be able to work un-supervised
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge
  • You should be a commercially minded individual
