Incredible opportunity for a Part-Time Family Solicitor looking to join a modern, progressive and completely new set up in the Oxford area. The firm are looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial Solicitor to join and take over as Joint Head of Practice, alongside usual fee earning responsibilities. This unique position will provide you with all the responsibility and benefit of running your own practice, without any of the risk relating to insurance and liability. This essentially provides one of the best flexible working opportunities currently on the market.

The Firm

The business was founded on a model led by insight directly from businesses. The firm held discussions with business owners, leaders and CEOs about what it was they didn't like about how their legal services were delivered. Responses were consistent - and so are their results.
The firm you'll be running is a 'local leader' in the community and specialises in conveyancing, family law, wills & probate work and general property law. They also deal with a range of debt collection and specialist court of protection work.

What you'll find is a close-knit team of Solicitors who put the client's needs first, and a key focus on business development and networking in the local community.

The Role

This fantastic firm are now looking for a Part Time Family Solicitor 5 PQE to join as a Joint Head of Practice and take on managerial and fee earning responsibilities.

You will join a well-established and close-knit team of professionals which consist of 1 Legal Executive, 1 Assistant and 1 Apprentice and you will be critical in ensuring both the firm's and the team's long-term success.

You will be running an initial caseload of generalist family work, but also aspects of private client work such as wills, trusts and probate but will be expected to deal with other requests which come through the established network of clients.

As this is a relatively unique opportunity. Not only will you gain responsibility for running the firm, but matters pertaining to PII, IT, HR and general business issues will be discussed with an outside company with a vetted interest in the recruitment process. You will, however, have full responsibility of the day to day of the office, and be fully autonomous to make your own decisions on how to best achieve your set goals.


  • You will be a qualified Solicitor or Associate with at 5 years' experience in Family Law or Private Client work relating to wills, trusts and probate.
  • You will have experience as a fee earner
  • You will be an excellent business developer with the ability to engage with both employees and clients form a management perspective
  • You will be able to make autonomous business decisions whilst utilising the support of legal market industry leaders
  • Part time Solicitors are strongly encouraged as this role holds a great deal of flexibility
