The Role

This Legal 500 firm is looking to hire a newly qualified Intellectual Property Solicitor into their thriving Manchester office.

You will join a team who are rated as a leading practice in the Legal 500 and Chambers. The team are members of both the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) and the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA).

The department have expertise covering all areas of contentious and non-contentious IP, with a dedicated trade mark and design right filing and prosecution practice, so you will be surrounded by industry leaders.

The department act for a variety of clients from owner managed businesses to some of the biggest brand and household names.

The role is fast paced and the workload will provide you will a wide spectrum of matters, making every day different. You will assist fee earners with IP litigation and anti-counterfeiting work, trade mark filing and prosecution work and clearance searches. You will also touch on some IT matters to include issues relating to GDPR, drafting and analysing software licenses.

Due to increased workloads and expansion of the department, this role comes with unrivalled prospects for progression.

Requirements

• You will be a newly qualified Solicitor with a minimum of a 6-month seat in intellectual property (or previous experience as a paralegal)
• You will have a strong work ethic
• You will be a team player with excellent attention to detail
