This company is a leading DataTech specialist headquartered in the US. With recent expansion into the European Markets, they are looking to add to their European legal team based in London. A large scaling up operation is happening in both the US and Europe with recent land acquisitions across the continents.

They are looking for a Director, Senior Corporate Counsel within EMEA to assist the global VP based in the US. You will be responsible for the management, review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts and will manage external counsel in multiple countries across EMEA.

The Role

The Director, Senior Corporate Counsel (EMEA) is responsible for global legal assistance of all client agreements, including large, complex data center leases and service agreements. In addition to providing legal expertise and assistance, you will be working collaboratively with departments across the business.

There will also be the opportunity to work on M&A, employment matters, general commercial matters relating to their Procurement (supply chain), Site Acquisitions activity and compliance across the region.

Duties

• Review, draft and negotiate of a wide variety of commercial contracts, including framework maintenance and service agreements, security and facilities management contracts, vendor and OFCI contracts, amendments, NDAs and much more.
• Provision of global legal strategy for contract management, governance and organisation of all Operations legal documents.
• Manage external counsel on regulatory and other legal requirements for operational matters across EMEA.
• Maintain knowledge of laws for Operations' and commercial contracts in multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with the Finance team on insurance and tax requirements related to Operations activity.
• Support the Legal department in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and standardisation of working practices across the region.

Requirements

• At least 5 years PQE and In-House experience
• Experience within Data, Tech, IT or Telecoms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, international legal team
