Legal Counsel 2-4 PQE | Well-established EMEA Software business | Central London

The business

This business is a reputable Software specialist headquartered in London. With recent expansion into the European Markets, they are looking to add to their legal team based in Central London. The business is currently putting plans in place to expand in the Middle East and foresee huge growth over the coming months and years.

They are looking for a 2-4 PQE Legal Counsel to assist their current team of 3 based in their Central London HQ. You will be responsible for the management, review and negotiation of a wide range of Software/Tech focused commercial contracts and will be responsible for the management of external counsel.

The Role

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Legal Counsel for this reputable Software business based in London.

You will be reporting to the company Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel, assisting in the training and development of the team's Legal Assistant also. You will be tackling high-value commercial contracts with an array of international clients, as well as supporting numerous departments throughout the business.

You will also be in regular communication with the COO and board, providing pro-active legal and business advice to ensure that the commercial function continues to go in the right direction.

Duties

• Advise the company's different departments, incl; Sales, Marketing, R&D and Product as well as other business departments
• Review, draft, negotiate, a wide variety of commercial agreements including SaaS agreements, vendor contracts and NDAs, outsourcing agreements, ensuring that all company's interests are fully protected
• Manage business activities to ensure compliance with company policies and risk tolerance.
• Tackle multiple deals and support colleagues in Europe with sound business and legal judgment and a clear sense of company priorities.
• Provide general legal support in areas such as; Data Protection, IP, HR, Marketing and much more

Requirements

• 2-4 PQE
• Experience within a SaaS/Tech focused business
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
