This legal 500 and chambers ranked firm have a highly regarded reputation in and around the North West area. They have a rich heritage dating back several decades and are a well-known name in the local community.

Over recent years, the firm have grown organically and have appointed several heavy-hitting Lawyers. They continue to bolster their departments with key strategic hires, the firm has good growth planned over the next 24 months, which includes the opening of news offices.

The practice invests heavily into ensuring they are using and utilising the best technology available. They have good infrastructure and excellent support teams, all allowing fee earners to be as streamlined as possible, allowing you more time to focus on generating fee's and having more in the way of client contact.

They have an excellent reputation for delivering industry leading training, which carries on throughout the duration of a Lawyers career. They also have outside organisations come into the firm to deliver training on a wide range of subject matters.

Often junior lawyers will deal with a complexity of work that places them ahead of their years of PQE. The Role

The firm are looking for a Family Senior Associate / Partner to join their growing Preston office.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the family department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

You will mentor and oversee the work of junior Lawyers and help them to progress in their careers.

The firm has a highly regarded, legal 500 ranked Family department. You will join a highly skilled team that is headed up by heavy hitting family Partners. They often deal with an affluent HNW individual, sometimes with International assets and interests.

You will take on a diverse and broad caseload of solely privately funded matters to include Divorce, financial remedies, civil partnership dissolution, prenuptial agreements as well as arrangements for children both nationally and internationally.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda. The firm are succession planning are keen to find the next generation of senior Lawyers.

Requirements

  • You will be a Family Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience and applications are invited from even the most experienced candidates)
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
  • You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
  • You will have strong business development capabilities
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of experience, on offer is an excellent benefits package and bonus scheme
