They are looking for an Insolvency Solicitor (5 years PQE) to join their office in Southampton, Hampshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Insolvency and Business Recovery team, who take a collaborative and inclusive approach to the work they perform.
You will have contentious and non-contentious insolvency and business recovery experience and will either be newly qualified up to 5 years PQE (or equivalent experience) and have excellent written communication and drafting skills, together with a proven track record of being able to build and maintain relationships with clients.
The team's clients are predominantly licensed insolvency practitioners, but it also acts for business owners, company directors, debtors and creditors.
The work involves both contentious and non-contentions insolvency and business recovery related work. This includes, amongst other things, advisory work, asset realisations, business sales and bringing and defending insolvency claims.
The team punches well above its weight in terms of the type of instructions it undertakes, which over the last 12 months has included:
* Advising the joint officeholders on a trading administration and subsequent CVA of a large substantial multi-let industrial centre and dealing with the subsequent sale of the site.
* Advising the joint officeholders on the administration and business sale of a high profile national retailer.
* Dealing with a highly contentious bankruptcy involving setting aside an injunction obtained ex parte, possession and sale proceedings, various property sales, opposed applications to annul and a contested suspension of discharge application.
* Acting for the administrators of a company in successfully opposing an application by a proprietary creditor for leave to take possession of assets, so that the purpose of the administration could be achieved.
