The Firm

The firm employs around 75 people at their offices in Cheltenham and they provide a friendly and supportive working environment.

They are great at nurturing their talent and progressing their employers in their chosen field, making them the best lawyers they could possibly be. They have a completely open-door policy with Partners seated throughout the open plan office with much more junior staff; this even applies to the CEO.

You will find there is no hierarchy with even Paralegals being encouraged to share their thoughts. Just recently a Paralegal undertook a training session for a whole team including Partner; it is this collaborative approach which has seen them progress Solicitors to Partners in a record-breaking time.

They have a key focus on Employment, Corporate and Commercial Law and have a strong presence in the Cheltenham and Gloucester legal market.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join this highly regarded department in Cheltenham.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a small team and alongside a partner with an outstanding reputation.

The firm has a loyal and varied client base of rural land owning clients across the UK and beyond. The team has expertise in all issues affecting rural businesses and land owners, including acquisitions and disposals of land, farms and whole estates, land development agreements, including options, promotion agreements and overage, agricultural tenancies, renewable energy projects, partnerships and business structures.


  • You will ideally be a Legal Secretary with 1 years experience (minimum 6 months considered)
  • You have excellent word processing and audio-typing skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • You will be highly organised, adaptable and able to work under pressure
  • You will be someone that thrives on working hard and enjoys being in a busy department.
  • You will have the ability to learn and effectively use practice and case management software
