The Role:

• Reporting directly to the board, your role as the Financial Controller will be covering the full spectrum of accounts functions including overseeing sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling balance sheet accounts, maintaining chart of accounts and trial balance, preparing monthly management accounts and presenting these to the Board
• In addition you'll handle credit control, prepare VAT return, administering Payroll and managing and reviewing work of the Accounts Assistant
• Liaising with external accountants to prepare Financial Statements for Companies House and for the Solicitor's Regulatory audit
• Safeguarding client funds and ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules

The Ideal Candidate:

• You will likely have gained demonstrable experience in a similar environment, ideally within a law firm although this is not essential
• You will be a good communicator, able to review and streamline business workflows
• ACA part qualified or equivalent
