Are you a Planning Solicitor looking for a fresh opportunity? This Top 100 UK law firm is ranked highly across the Legal 500 and Chambers and looking to expand its decorated Planning department.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Planning Solicitor looking to gain access to quality work within a supportive and encouraging environment. You can expect outstanding training and progression.

The Firm:

Ranked in the Top 100, this firm is different to many other City firms - they have a unique progressive culture, and unlike other City firms, it is common for people to stay with them for their entire careers. As a result, it is rare to find staff retention rates this good.

The firm is known for dealing with the highest quality work, and the London office has 400 members known for punching well above their weight.

The practise advises on projects of national significance such as the transformation of Battersea Power Station and the construction of HS2.

This firm boasts a highly developed charity practice - working with some of the largest charitable organisations in the country, such as the university bodies, the Church of England and the Charity Commission.

The firm values work-life balance and has a friendly, progressive and supportive team dynamic but handles quality work like that of much larger City firms.

Flexible working is standard policy with most staff opting to work in a hybrid manner - working from home 50% of the time.

The Role

The firm is recruiting for a Planning Solicitor (1-3 years PQE) to join them in their City of London office.

You will be encouraged to manage your own caseload and be provided with plenty of direct access to client contact.

The team is one of the foremost planning departments in the UK, enabling you to work with an incredibly broad range of clients, advising on a variety of matters.

This position is heavily planning focussed but you will also spend some time (15%) providing support to the development risk practice - making this a particularly interesting and varied opportunity.

The team act primarily for major residential developers, registered providers, local planning authorities and landowners - with a national reputation for high-level strategic planning advice on major residential-led schemes, having won multiple awards.

The core planning work is complemented by a growing development risk practice which focuses on rights of light, neighbourly matters, general developer disputes, planning litigation and planning enforcement. There is a large degree of overlap between this area of practice and the core planning work, with regular joint working across the team.

You will receive excellent support and training from some of the best planning solicitors in the country.
