The Role:

This top-ranking and award-winning firm is seeking a Contentious Construction Solicitor NQ-2PQE to join the City of London office at the Associate level.

With the company undertaking rapid growth, especially in its international work, this is an opportune moment for a junior associate to join due to the clear progression and exposure to top-quality work.

The role will focus on contentious construction law, with practical experience of the Pre-action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes, TCC litigation, mediation, adjudication and ideally, arbitration.

Good working knowledge of the most popular standard forms of construction contracts is required, as is the experience of disputes relating to payment issues, change, defects, termination and professional negligence.

You will gain exposure to an enviable client list with plenty of client contact. Supervision and training will be provided by the team's partners and senior lawyers - several of whom are individually recognised in the legal directories for their talent.

The role offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload, while supporting the team's award-winning lawyers on high profile and high-value matters.

Person specification:

  • You will be an England & Wales solicitor NQ-2 PQE
  • Previously worked in a construction department
  • Sound knowledge of construction disputes and standard construction contracts
