The Role

• This role is a split between data protection and privacy work, and commercial TMT matters.
• 50% of role will be dedicated to data-related work under the supervision of the Global Head of Data and Privacy. This will include working with the international network to advise on a wide variety of data protection matters such as; GDPR and other privacy compliance, data breaches, data transfer challenges and use of cookies and online tracking.
• The other 50% will be spread across the remainder of the TMT practice and most likely will include commercial advise on technology and telecommunications transactions, including projects, M&A, joint ventures, collaborations, outsourcing and licensing, as well as media and entertainment deals and advisory matters, general commercial and digital work.
• You will also be presented with the chance to adopt a client-facing role and take an active and client-facing role in business development planning and execution.

Requirements

• You will be a UK Qualified Solicitor with 2-4 years PQE, and experience dealing with Data Protection matters and Commercial Advisory experience within TMT.
• Good organisational skills.
• Enthusiasm for intellectually challenging work.
• Excellent client relationship skills and experience in business development.
