Interim Legal Counsel required to join this leading geoscience technology company with offices in 11 countries, 14 cities and over 130 employees.

The Role:

• 5 PQE Solicitor required to join as Legal Counsel - initially a 2 month Fixed Term Contract (however, the position is likely to become permanent for the right person)
• Office Location: Surbiton, London (hybrid working available - fully remote may also be possible for the right candidate)

This is a fast paced legal role and will focus on the provision of timely commercial, corporate and compliance legal advice, to support the day-to-day requirements of the business.

As legal counsel you will be responsible for:

• the delivery of contract draftting
• negotiation
• other legal documents within agreed timescales.

The Work:

Contract Drafting and Negotiation
Commercial Contract reviews, advice and drafting including:
- NDA's, Software licences/Software development/SaaS Agreements.
- Master service agreements; Outsourcing agreements
- Using the organisations standard contract templates
- Amendments to/extensions of existing Agreements
- Service and supplier contracts
- Advice on copyright/trademark issues & general IP

Compliance & Regulation:
- Internal sanctions; anti-bribery policies; GDPR; data protection; intellectual property

Company Secretarial Assistance:
- Companies house filings; Legal and corporate research; Ensuring polices are complied with

Requirements & Benefits:

• England & Wales qualified with a working knowledge of UK contract/commercial law
• 12 months in-house experience required - as part of either past or recent experience.
• Solid experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, ideally within Tech or Oil & gas
• This is a fixed term position and will be based in this organisations Surbiton office, but has a strong potential to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Salary & Benefits:

• A salary (Full Time Equivalent) of circa 100-120k PA
