The Role

The firm is looking to hire a Construction Lawyer to join their expanding team in Milton Keynes.

You will be responsible for building your own client base in the region, adopting the firm's ethos and working alongside the specialist Partners to build the brand further ensuring future success for the department as a whole.

Therefore, you must be client facing, business development focused and entrepreneurial to increase their Construction offering throughout the Midlands and East Anglia region.
They are now looking for a client facing Construction Lawyer with significant business development experienced to join them in an a very progressive role, to work on an expanding portfolio of clients.

Although this opportunity will be based around your specialist areas, you will be expected to have a broad knowledge across all areas of contentious and non-contentious Construction including adjudication, arbitration and litigation, providing practical and commercial advice at an early stage where projects are in distress. Typical disputes include interim and final payments disputes, Professional negligence claims and issues of delay and defective works.
The team act for employers (Corporates and High net worth individuals), Construction professionals, Contractors and Sub-contractors and the successful candidate can look forward to a broad range of quality work across various sectors.

Requirements

  • You will be a Construction Senior Associate with 0-5 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of PQE)
  • Experience of managing a team of junior fee earners, is highly advantageous
  • You will be technically strong and have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of PQE, plus a good benefits package
