The Role

2-8 PQE Property Associate to join Top 100 firm and Tier 1 ranked Commercial Property and Social Housing team in Bristol.

The firm is one of the leading advisors within Social Housing, supporting some of the country's largest Housing Associations on housing developments and housing management services. They guide the UK's top providers of housing, care and commercial services.

Following a decade of sustained growth and securing numerous high-profile projects and clients, your role will involve consulting on a full range of property matters within the social housing market. Particular emphasis is placed on land acquisition and development work for clients involved in providing affordable housing.

Given the nature of the client base, you will deal with managing ongoing portfolios and ideally have sound knowledge of landlord and tenant law also.

Through inheriting a busy and diverse caseload you will expand upon your legal expertise daily, whilst working closely with colleagues at all levels to support of your own, the teams and ongoing success of the firm.

Your success will culminate in ongoing career progression aligned with your goals; your influence will be felt from day one in terms of input towards the strategic decisions made by the department.

Owing to the nature of the work and trusting relationships in place with clients, you will foster, nurture and manage current and future relationships whilst having a real desire to engage and network, furthering your own and the firm's reputation and exposure.

The Requirements

  • 2 PQE within Development work, preferable working with Housing Associations
  • Passion for Housing projects, and a desire to obtain an ongoing specialism in housing work
  • Willingness to work in collaboration with colleagues at all levels, mentoring those more junior.
  • Displaying commercial awareness, coupled with social intelligence and interest in building interpersonal relationships.
