The Banking & Finance team is a key part of the firm's offering, with a well-established client base across various sectors. They are seeking a Senior Associate to help drive the next phase of growth and further expand their market position.
The Role:
As a Senior Associate in the Corporate Banking & Finance team, you will be expected to take on a leadership role in the Corporate Business Unit, supporting the growth of both the team and the Banking & Finance sector group. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to handle high-quality legal matters while contributing to business development and strategic initiatives.
The firm is looking for someone at Senior Associate level with a generalist banking & finance background, to work with lenders & borrowers, panel, real estate finance, ideally with experience gained from core banking team.
The work is mainly with panels but also referrals from panels, family investment companies, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering high-quality work on your own matters, ensuring profitability and effective resourcing.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers, with a focus on exceeding service expectations.
- Supporting Partners in managing and developing larger key clients and contributing to business development activities.
- Expanding your network and pursuing new business opportunities to build a pipeline of clients and referrers.
- Taking on line management responsibility for a small team, helping to develop their skills and supporting their career progression.
- Managing cross-functional projects and initiatives within the Corporate and Banking & Finance sectors.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 6+ years PQE with experience in Banking & Finance law, ideally with a background working with both lenders and borrowers
- Previous exposure to real estate finance would be advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
