Banking and Finance Solicitor (3-6PQE)

Team
The first-rate firm deals with some of New Zealand's most high-profile transactions and is communicating with some of the most influential borrowers and lenders in the country and across borders.

Working alongside Legal-500 ranked New Zealand Partners and Associates, you will cover a vast range of lending, insolvency, financial transactions and restructuring matters. This will allow you to gain on-the-job experience and knowledge of the NZ legal system while boosting your international legal knowledge.

This will be enhanced when working with their large, diverse, international network of professionals and clients. This will give you exposure to cross-border work and local caseloads, working on deals within the infrastructure projects, energy and land/property development sectors.

Role
This firm is offering a rare opportunity for an accomplished Solicitor to join an outstanding Banking and Finance team.

This role offers an abundance of flexibility, starting with having the option to work on a full or part-time basis. Ideally, the firm would like someone with experience of a diverse caseload, including sectors like property, acquisition and finances. These are not essential but would be a benefit to the individual and firm.

Taking this opportunity will give you a chance to boost your financial regulation advisory skills while working alongside a range of banks and financial service institutes, aiding them with licencing, fiduciary obligations, compliance and products.

Ideal candidate

• A Banking & Finance Solicitor with 3-6 relevant PQE
• Can manage a varied caseload with a range of clients, and has the ambition and communication skills to further develop client relations
• Is commercially aware and knowledgeable about the current banking law landscape
• Has passion for the legal industry and willingness to learn in a new legal system format
