The Role

The firm are seeking to hire an Employment into their modern and newly refurbished City of London office.

The department is ranked highly in the legal 500 and the team is one of the largest nationally. The team is dynamic and punches well above their weight. You work with the other partners to drive the department forwards. They support their clients out of their national and international offices.

The firm's highly rated employment team handles a wide range of excellent quality contentious and non-contentious work including advisory work on HR issues, disputes related work in the tribunal and courts, drafting employment documentation, employee relations and transaction/outsourcing work. The team's workload is increasingly top end, complex, premium work and accordingly we are working to strengthen our capacity at that level.

There are excellent prospects here for progression with the continued growth of this department and the firm.

Requirements

You will be an Employment Lawyer with at least 7 years PQE (there are no upper limits regarding the amount of PQE and applications are invited from the most experienced candidates)You will have good commercial awareness and strong drafting skillsExperience of managing more junior colleagues is to advantage, but not essentialA meticulous eye for detail is essentialSalary is competitive and dependent on your background and level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package

Assistant General Counsel - Europe: You will work within one of the leading Data Centre specialist, undertaking key strategic group operations of their expansions within the European Markets. You will be an accomplished Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with experience in the TMT/Data field and Cross border matters. Experience of Land Acquisitions for Data Centres is required

This company is a leading Data Centre Specialist headquartered in the US. With recent expansion into the European Markets, they are looking to make their European legal team based from London. A large scaling up operation is happening in both the US and Europe with recent land acquisitions across the continents.

They are looking for an Assistant General Counsel within Europe to assist the General Counsel based in the US. You will be responsible for the legal and corporate governance support of the Europe Strategic opportunities and business objectives. As this is essentially a 'greenfield' department within Europe, you will need a pro-active, solution-oriented mindset to legal matters in order to help build the legal infrastructure in Europe. Due to the large amount of acquisitions, you will have experience within M&A and Data/TMT sectors.

Experience of being a well-rounded lawyer, working in the Legal team is also Key. Understanding of the legal matters involved in house, notably Employment, commercial, benefits, litigation - or relevant outsourcing counsel experience.
