Lockdown 2 - are you doing things differently this time?
With most offices, shops and businesses shut once again, looking after your mental health matters. But banana bread baking and Joe Wicks workouts probably won’t cut it this time.
Here are steps you can take to help support your mental health:
Put on your woolly hat and waterproof coat and get some fresh air
Last time we tried and probably failed to make major changes, so make minor adjustments this time.
Don’t go on your phone until you’re properly up and ready to face the outside world.
- Speak to friends and family.
Colleagues are great, but your loved ones are better.
- Don’t be on zoom all day.
Try some old-fashioned calls to give you a break from being on display.
Pandemic news is stressful and you need positivity too, so don’t consume too much negative information.
- Create a routine and stick to it.

Being forced back into the work-home routine can cause anxiety and worries about burnout. So take the time to prioritise your mental wellbeing as we get through these next few weeks.
