Get Happy

3 Mins

Happiness and productivity go together like Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg. They make an unlikely friendship, but it works, and we should just go with it.

Productivity alone is tough going. Results, results, results. Exhausting if there’s no joy to get you through it.

We spend so much of our time working, isn’t it best we do something we love?

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” – Albert Schweitzer

Being happy is not just good for your career, but for the company bottom line too:

> Happy staff care more

Happy employees care about the company, are more engaged, and are more likely to find out the company goals and help support the company in achieving them. They pay attention to client and customer needs and are more present. That’s productivity in action.

> Happy staff stay longer

Happiness brings a greater resilience to tough situations, a greater investment and loyalty in the company, and a willingness to go above and beyond. This saves on the costly process of rehiring. An easy way to get this from your staff is to let them know you value and appreciate them.

> Happiness is infectious

Happy staff means happy boss means happy customers and so on. A shining example of positivity can have a tremendous influence on others. They can often support others too and happiness spreads its positive influence all around.
