A high percentage of their staff trained at top City firms and due to their continued growth and success, they are looking for a Senior Corporate Solicitor to join their City office and work closely alongside a Partner.

Due to continued success, the corporate department is seeking the addition of a Senior Associate to join their high calibre team of six.

The Role

This highly ranked national firm are looking for a Senior Associate 8+ years PQE to join their Corporate Partner's fast-growing team.

You will require a high level of experience and knowledge of corporate law, mostly in M&A, corporate restructuring, investment transactions and much more.

The ideal candidate will have prior supervision and management experience. In this role you'll be responsible for managing and supervising a young and dynamic team of 5 Corporate lawyers.
Main responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Partner to develop process and improvement initiatives.
  • Overseeing the development of improvement initiatives.
  • Leading, supervising and managing a team of corporate lawyers and consultants.
  • Providing end-to-end technical support to the corporate team.
  • Preparing and presenting work and strategy reports to the Partner.

The role will play a key part in supporting one of their London based Corporate Partners
This is suitable for individuals who want to step away from business development and networking, this role will involve 60% supervision and 40% fee earning.
Personal Specification
To be successful in the role, you will have 8+ years PQE or more, with previous experience at Top 200 firm. You will have previous experience managing a varied corporate caseload. You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Commercial awareness and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms).
  • Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
