The Role

In this role, you will support the Corporate Secretary and Assistant Corporate Secretary in organising and managing board and board committee meetings (i.e. setting agendas, reviewing and drafting papers, presentations, minutes and resolutions), providing guidance and advice on corporate governance matters, and handling a broad spectrum of related matters that confront a global energy company.

You will be drafting and revising agendas, papers, presentations, minutes and resolutions for executive management and the board of directors. Additionally, you will be liaising with business teams, attorneys and legal professionals around the globe to create, revise and finalise materials for board and board committee meetings.

You will also advise as to board authority questions and corporate governance matters, advise as to shareholder issues and much more.

Requirements

  • 6+PQE US/Canada/UK/EU in a law firm and/or in-house at a large multinational corporation
  • General corporate experience providing legal support to senior management/board of directors
  • Experience working as a corporate secretary
