The role

This firm is currently seeking a Contentious Trusts and Probate Partner to join their West End, London office.

The team is busy and due to an influx of new work, they are seeking to hire a Contentious Trusts and Probate department. You will work with the other partners to drive the department forward, whilst mentoring and supporting the more junior members of the team.

You will work closely alongside the firms litigation and private client departments, which are both core practice areas for the firm. Due to an influx of contentious probate work, the firm is seeking to break this off as a separate department. As such, this role comes with excellent prospects for progression. You will work closely with the Head of Departments to grow this department, you will have lots of support but also full autonomy.

You will deal with a broad contentious trusts and probates caseload. Work will involve dealing with issues of foreign assets, domicile and residence.

Requirements

• You will be a Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor with at least eight years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
• You should have good technical experience and a keen eye for detail
• Experience in mentoring and leading more junior lawyers is to advantage but is not essential.
• Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background.
